Grants
Infrastructure
The Southeast Development Corporation works with local governments and non-profits to develop and implement funding strategies for key infrastructure. This includes such diverse activities as water and sewer projects, telecommunications, industrial parks and facilities, health care facilities and brownfields. Staff prepare funding applications for such diverse sources as the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), Fastrack, Rural Development’s water and sewer programs, Economic Development Administration (EDA), Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Tennessee State Revolving Loan Fund and the Tennessee Municipal Bond Fund (TML) as well as other funding resources.
Due to the high cost associated with utility infrastructure it is often necessary for staff to structure project financing involving multiple funding sources and multiple funding partners which often involve a blend of both grant and loan funds. To make this process flow smoothly for the client, the Southeast Development Corporation also provides project administration services.
